In recent years, many national programs have focused on governance reforms, service delivery, youth empowerment, and digital inclusion. However, everyday civic interactions—between citizens, government institutions, and communities—still require more visibility, understanding, and participation. The festival responds to this need by creating an inclusive space that brings together MDAs, creatives, policymakers, educators, innovators, performers, students, and community groups to showcase progress, exchange ideas, and strengthen civic values.

The 2025 edition of the Salone Civic Festival continues this mission by combining civic awareness activities, public lectures, cultural exhibitions, live performances, film screenings, youth innovation showcases, citizens’ engagements, and an MDAs development showcase. It also includes a strong storytelling element that highlights the resilience, achievements, and cultural vibrancy of Sierra Leoneans.

Ultimately, the festival aims to help citizens better understand their role in governance, build a sense of national belonging, and create a positive space where culture, creativity, and civic knowledge come together to inspire collective action and shared responsibility.
